Our Sun Spot, Skin Tag and Pigment Removal services are performed by trained and certified personel on the device "Super Frecator". This device is used by Dermatologists and MedSpas, that uses high-frequency electrical current. It delivers precise electrical sparks through a micro electric probe to dehydrate the skin. (It is an electrical treatment device, NOT an operating tool) Results are seen almost immediately. Most people only need one session for permanent results.

The probe never touches the tissue being treated and the electrical current sparks to the skin causing dehydration of the treated area. There is no blood associated with the treatment and the skin is instantly dehydrated. A scab will replaces the area where the pigment originated. New skin cells will start regenerating from underneath. It usually takes about 1 week for smaller spots and up to 3 weeks for bigger and thicker skin growth before the scab falls off naturally. The treated area will heal and new healthy skin will return and gradually take on the color of the surrounding tissue.
It is extremely important to follow appropriate after care, such as keeping the area dehydrated and protecting it with sunscreen when exposed to even the least amount of sun. We will discuss after care with you at the time of treatment.
Post treatment guidelines for SUPER FRECATOR Treatment
- Do not wash treatment site until the next day after the Super Freactor treatment. Softening of the brand-new scab with water may cause it to come off prematurely and the skin will take longer to heal.
- Do not scratch the treated area. During the healing process the area may become itchy but it is important to completely avoid touching and scratching of the treated area.
- Do not apply any product on the treatment site. Products that are not instructed to apply most likely to cause irritation of the skin. The only two things that can be put under skin is 1. sunblock of 100% mineral powder and 2. 100% mineral make up. Make sure to use a clean and soft brush to apply mineral powder and completely avoid rubbing of the treated area.
- Do not use sauna, steam room, swimming and Jacuzzi or take a long shower or do activities that cause excess sweat until the scab falls off. Extra wetness of the treatment site may cause the scab to fall off prematurely and this will result in the scab to form again and it causes delay in the healing process.
- Do not use any acid product until two months after the treatment. There should be no exfoliation on a brand-new skin as it may cause major irritation or acid burn to the new cells.
- Do not have microdermabrasion treatment or any other exfoliations for at least one month after the treatment.
- Wear sunblock every day.
- Apply Neosporin if there is a redness around the treatment site (apply at night only)
- Schedule a micro dermabrasion procedure one month after the treatment as it will speed up the cellular turn over and healing process.
- We suggest using Facial Recovery Oil by Eminence Organic Skin Care after the scab falls off. If not possible, Maderma is an acceptable alternative that can help the skin to recover its natural color faster.
- The treatment area will form an immediate protective scab which can be from gray light brown to dark brown or even black in color. Keep the treatment area as dry as possible. The scab will fall off naturally in an average 7 to 10 days. Large and deeper skin irregularities may produce 2 to 3 successive crust and last up to three weeks. In an area of good blood supply and abundant subcutaneous tissue healing will be rapid.
- During the healing process each skin type reacts differently based on the amount of pigment cells in the skin. Pigment cells give the skin color and serve as a protective barrier against environmental damage. The body ‘s natural healing and defense mechanism starts working immediately after the skin being treated with Super Frecator. After the scab falls off the new skin appears to be very fresh and light pink in color. From this point on the healing continues till the color blends into the original skin tone. There are different stages associated with the skin’s healing process based on a natural response of the skin. The process involves color changes on the treated area, called post inflammatory pigment which is a temporary pigment response to inflammation. It is extremely important to continue to follow post care instructions explained in this document.
- The lighter your skin tone, the faster it will be for the treated area to blend into its original skin shade. For example, very fair skin may take 2 to 3 weeks, medium to deep skin tones may take up to 4 months to 6 1/2 months for the skin to blend into its original skin shade.
- Most clients only need one treatment, however, on rare occasions you may need a second treatment to achieve desired results. For a second, and most times complementary treatment, please contact Spa Nine within 8 weeks. A refund will not be issued to clients who do not followup with the "second treatment" policy. It is also recommended, but optional, to have a microderm abrasion treatment over the area within 8 weeks.
Recovery time may also be longer on treated areas that are further away from the heart (where the blood circulation is not as good). Arms and hands can take up to six months legs and thighs can take up to 12 to 15 months to blend into its original skin shade.
